India's first one-day international against Sri Lanka on 13 December 2026 has been moved from Delhi to Visakhapatnam, a significant change for supporters planning to attend the upcoming home series.

The match had originally been scheduled for Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The revised venue is the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

WHY HAS THE VENUE CHANGED?

Reuters reported on 5 November that the Delhi and District Cricket Association requested a venue change, citing potential weather disruption and planned renovation work.

Reports have also linked the decision to concerns about Delhi's air quality in December.

Supporters who had made travel plans around the original venue should check official ticketing and refund information before taking any action. India Times UK cannot confirm individual ticket arrangements.

WHAT IS THE INDIA–SRI LANKA SCHEDULE?

The three ODIs are scheduled for 13 December in Visakhapatnam, 16 December in Bengaluru and 19 December in Ahmedabad.

Three T20 internationals are then scheduled for Rajkot on 22 December, Cuttack on 24 December and Pune on 27 December.

The BCCI's original home-season announcement listed Delhi as the first ODI venue; the subsequent announcement changes that fixture. Always check the most recent official notice rather than relying on an older fixture list.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

Squad announcements, player availability and ticketing arrangements will become key developments as the series approaches.

The match dates and venues listed here reflect reporting available on 5 November 2026 and remain subject to change.
